Vietnam is ranked 2nd in the world in terms of coffee producing and exporting.
The country is known for its bold, strong, and distinctive coffee taste that are different from other countries. The reason comes from the Robusta beans, which contain twice as much the amount of caffein in Arabica beans that are exported by Brazil, the largest coffee producer and exporter.
The most common way to enjoy coffee in Vietnam is "Cà Phê Phin", or Coffee prepared in a filter. A method where coffee is loaded into a filter and people often wait around 7-10 minutes for flavourful drops of coffee to drip out.

Cà Phê Trứng - Egg Coffee
It is created in 1946 by Nguyen Van Giang due to the shortage of milk after the French war.
As people normally have condense milk to balance out the strong taste of Robusta beans, when milk were scarce, Giang whisked eggs to mix in the strong brew as a substitute when he was a bartender at a well known hotel in Hanoi.

His innovation was so successful that he opened his own shop "Cà Phê Giảng" to sell this specialty. This delicious coffee is considered more of a dessert, with flavour full Robusta beans taste, whisked eggs, sugar, and creamy condense milk.
